About NRASL

North Ridgeville Amateur Soccer League (NRASL) was founded in 1977 and is a volunteer board-directed 501-c(3) non-profit organization.  NRASL is an affiliate member of Ohio Youth Soccer Association North (OYSAN), which is part of the United States Youth Soccer.  NRASL is committed to the development of youth soccer players with a foundation of sportsmanship, respect, and integrity.

The key to NRASL’s development program is the progressive player development curriculum where players can reach to achieve the level of play that they desire.  The curriculum was designed by our Director of Coaching, Everett Palache in association with NRASL Technical Director and NRHS asst. soccer coach, Adam Deich, Technical Director, Tara Bowen.  The curriculum is designed to inspire the youngest players who are new to the game and to deliver technically proficient players to the high school program.  Please see the “Development Staff” tab for more information about these coaches’ qualifications.

NRASL offers a number of different development tracks depending on the player's and family’s desire and commitment.  The In-House Development program is a non-competitive, instructional introduction to the game.  Here, training is provided thru volunteer parent coaches with assistance and guidance of pro coaches.  NRASL's Select program is our competitive level with a 10 month development curriculum with players under the direction of NRASL's contracted professional coaches.

In-House Development

Our youngest players (U4 and under) begin in our Tots 4-week, in-house development program.  Our Tots director leads player-parent partners through a variety of skill development drills and games.

Next is our co-ed U5 and U6 Academy programs.  These 6-week recreational programs are led by parent volunteer coaches with enhanced direction from the Force Sports Academy (FSA) pro soccer coaches.

More pro coaching awaits in our U7/U8 boys and U7/U8 girls Academy programs.  The In-House Development program continues at the U9/U11 boys and U9/U11 girls divisions and concludes with the U12/U14 co-ed division.

At the U8 age, players with a desire for competitive play and more intensive training can tryout for our U8 Competitive Development Academy, which introduces players and families to the competitive soccer track.  At U9, players can tryout for placement in the NR Select program.
