Coaches and volunteers from the NRASL were honored November 15th at the Ohio Youth Soccer Association North’s Annual General Meeting and Awards Luncheon held at the Nia Center, Kalahari Resorts. Among the honorees were Bryan Asp, Administrator of the Year; Angie Asp, Volunteer of the Year; Rich Birsic, Coach of the Year, Girls Competitive; Keith Krueger, Coach of the Year, Boys Recreational; and Joe Vetrano, Coach of the Year, Boys Competitive. In addition to their recognition of service to North Ridgeville Soccer, three of the honorees won the top award in their category for all of Ohio North. They were Bryan Asp, Rich Birsic, and Keith Krueger. All will be forwarded for regional and possible national nominations in their respective categories. “North Ridgeville should be proud to have these five dedicated volunteers and coaches”, said Mike Collier, President of the NRASL. “They have truly helped our organization and have made a positive impact in the lives of many young players. This is the first time that North Ridgeville has ever had anyone win the top award for all of Ohio North. When you consider that Ohio North consists of over 58,000 players as well as hundreds of coaches and administrators, this is quite an accomplishment”. In addition to the Awards, the NRASL was awarded a $500 grant to be used towards their new Academy format. The grant will most likely go towards port-a-goals for U5 and U6 fields. |
